The development and manufacturing of „powerful“ metal forming machines is one of the specialties of SCHLEIFSTEIN Maschinentechnik GmbH (smt). We not only continuously develop our existing technologies but open up new further product fields.

We have been continuously established on the market for 120 years and for 80 years we have manufactured machines and equipment for manufacturing tank and vessel heads. smt has long been a technology leader for the manufacturing processes „dishing“ and „flanging“.

Form our long-term experience in manufacturing hydraulic dishing presses we have developed our presses for the production of ship outer panels and large-scale and high-volume 2D-/3D-segments.

Spezial shears for coil material and blanks in cold condition have been included in the product range of smt for decades.
